Entering in groups, expect an hour of thrills and spills, scares and dares as you cross to the Other side and traverse the woods, buildings, and parkland of the Haunted Village. Scaresville residents and unsettling experiences might be encountered anywhere, at any time en route.

The experience changes each year to keep you guessing and may alter nightly.

Before You Come

We suggest you wear clothes suitable for the cold and wet and wellies/boots, not your new trainers! No umbrellas are allowed for safety reasons. We ask you don’t use torches at any point during the route, as a low-level lit torch means ‘don’t scare me!’ at Scaresville. We don’t allow visitors to wear any masks in Scaresville. In fact, we think it’s better overall if you leave the costumes to us!

Checking In

You can arrive up to 15 mins before your booked Entry Time Band, and we ask that you are all here, and checked in, by half-way through your entry time band. The earlier you arrive, the earlier you will be let in, later arrivals may not enter until the end of your time band. If you miss your entry time band we will try and fit you in, if possible.

Unfairground

While you wait to journey around Scaresville, you can grab a bite to eat and enjoy yourself in our Unfairground. Here you may find orphaned acrobats, our bearded lady, wandering magicians and fire displays to keep you entertained until your group is called into the Scarezone.

5-minute Escape Room

Expand your fun during your evening at Scaresville by having a go at our Witchcraft themed rapid escape room. This year we are excited to add an alternate story to our Rapid Escape Cabin in our Unfairground, Miner’s Curse… Can you beat the clock and exit before your darkest fears escape the depths? Available before your journey through Scaresville if prebooked or availability allows. Group tickets can be added when checking out. More info here Escape

Scarezone

The immersive Scaresville experience is designed to take approximately an hour from the time when you enter the Scarezone, although it may take longer as sometimes we cant control ourselves! You will walk the entire route, so please come prepared to walk without a break for an hour or so. The ground may be uneven, and we sometimes make it deliberately so. You need to decide before booking if you or any in your party may find this too testing or difficult. On certain nights, you may be held up by slow-moving groups ahead, but we try to minimise the effect of this.

BAR-baric

Once you have returned from the Other side you may unwind in our friendly bar, BAR-baric where you can swap stories of your Scaresville experiences. Enjoy a warming drink or strong pick-me-up to the sounds of our Halloween-inspired playlist. Alcoholic drinks and bar snacks will be available here on most evenings during Scaresville.
