I ended my trip with a visit to the Walsall Scare Maze. This had a festive theme called Santa’s Fear Factory. For what is essentially a scare attraction in the beer garden of a pub the guys have done an excellent job. The theming in the pub garden is great with a maze entrance that really gives you an idea of the quality attraction you are about to visit.
I liked how each room had a very different theme. The actors used the space well and the effects were wonderful. Some rooms you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face because of smoke. The maze managed to include many elements from claustrophobia to a dark section. I really enjoyed the room with many Santa’s wondering if any were real as you tentatively walk through.
Overall this was an attraction that was a nice surprise featuring many elements that wouldn’t be out of place in a bigger budget attraction.
